This article describes selected issues in the field of Knowledge management
in the organization. The author cites various definitions of the knowledge
management, formulated by the theorists and the practitioners in the
area of management. A particular attention was paid to the creation of the
concept of knowledge management since the fifties of the last century to
the present. There is emphasized the important role of knowledge management
in the business management. It shows the relationship between the
knowledge transfer and the management system in the organization. In
modern time the select of a specific management system in the organization
affect the way of knowledge acquisition and knowledge management.
