Objectives: The aim of this article is to present the personality and philosophical and pedagogical views of Luigi Stefanini, an Italian personalist.
Today's society faces many different problems. The rapid civilisational and cultural changes that characterise contemporary society bring with them new challenges. These also occur in the field of education and upbringing. More and more ideas and new pedagogical concepts are emerging in this area. Many people question their effectiveness. Luigi Stefanini is an Italian philosopher and educator and one of the most recognisable Italian personalists. This article presents his intellectual and cultural development, his concept of the person and a brief outline of his concept of education.
Material and methods: The article uses a qualitative research method. It involves critical analysis of texts and their hermeneutic interpretation.
Results: We know Stefanini's antropological and pedagogical opinion.
Conclusions: The opinions of Stefanini are continually topical.
