Mass character of contemporary terrorist threats together with social consequences demand that the society should be involved in preventive actions as well as readiness to react against potential terrorist attacks. Direct society’s commitment towards preventive actions and readiness to be heave rationally in compound situations of various forms of terrorist activities requires systematic education. The publication is a report of consecutive studies referring to anti-terrorist education in Poland. The research project included a questionnaire action among proprietors and managers of various service and trade companies, as well as employees of different levels, owners, administrators, and people in charge of cultural, sport and recreation objects being public places, and also the employees of the state and self-governed administration. The aim of the researches was to get acquainted with opinions of those people and confirm their knowledge of terrorist threats and the rules of behaviour in case of appearance. Results of researches will get the authors of the project closer to realise the main goal of it that is working out the scheme of anti-terrorist education which includes basic information about terrorist threats and principles how to react in a case of different forms of terrorist threats, taking into account expectation of rescue units.
